A Brief History of The KK Group

Like any new-born baby, the KK Group, spear-headed by Krishan Kumar Garhwal, initially entered the Iron & Steel industry in 1978 by taking things step-by-step, focusing all energies and resources into trading operations and activities. Having learnt the ropes of the basic fundamentals of the industry further strengthened the foundations of what today is a successful business which has earned respect from the industry as well as values its relationships with all its employees, customers and suppliers.

In 1984, the first manufacturing re-rolling mill unit was established with all key functional infrastructural operations in Liluah, Howrah. Manufacturing only Mild Steel (MS) Rounds bars and high strength deformed steel reinforcement bars (MS TMT); these products are manufactured till date due to the ever-growing demand from the construction industry. The admirable business conduct and acumen meant that within a short time, the KK Group established a commendable goodwill in the market for its good quality products and prompt service

A synonym for excellence through commitment to quality, honesty and competitive prices, the KK Group expanded to manufacture Ribbed Bars in 2006. With technology brought from Eurolls, Italy, and automation technology from ABB, the finished product is of unmatchable superior quality with total customization for the clients. The finished product from this plant is of very high international quality and is cut-to-length as per the clients’ requirements. This plant is fully computerized with automation technology from ABB. Collaborative Production Management (CPM) system from ABB has been installed in the entire plant to ensure the conversion of raw materials (Wire Rods) to finished goods (Ribbed Bars) is completed in a single automated process controlled by several synchronized DC motors.

The objective of providing premium products at competitive prices has made the KK Group well accepted and recognized across India. Due to this the KK Group set up a new plant manufacturing Hard Bright (HB) Wires in 2008 and Bright Bars in 2009 which has various industrial applications.

Mr Aloke Dhanuka is trading in the Bright Bar industry since 2004, prior to which his area of interest was in hot rolled steel products and coal supply to various industries. Mr Kuldip Kumar Garhwal has the experience of re-rolling mill manufacturing MS Round and TMT Bars and cold drawn ribbed bars. Both of them wanted to diversify into Bright Bars manufacturing industry.

KK Wires was established in 2008 by Mr Dhanuka & Mr Garhwal and within a short span of time it acquired the recognition of quality in the field of bright bar manufacturing in West Bengal; owing to The KK Groups integrity and uncompromising attitude in manufacturing superior quality of international standards.
